Stockwell Bus Garage: the mini version!

This is absolutely fantastic and I so want one (but I am rubbish with the stanley knife so it's not really a possibility).

And it's only £18 from Kingsway Models.

The Stockwell model is a little tricky to make because of its unusual shape (and yes, we know it only has two bays - the kit helpfully includes a CD which enables extra parts to be printed), so Kingsway recommend you start with one of the easier ones. They've got loads to choose from including Peckham and Streatham.

All we need to do now is persuade Mr Kingsway to change the LT sign to mimic the actual one - restored to its former glory of course.

"Stockwell could be described as a cathedral amongst bus garages," says the website. Never a truer word.

  3. Yes, believe so. At the time of construction (1952) it was the largest unsupported area under one roof in Europe
