Vauxhall: A Little History - don't forget the talk at Tate Library, South Lambeth Road

Who was the hired killer that gave Vauxhall its name and who was the King who forced a teenage widow to marry the brute?

Did you know that Vauxhall gave the world the first open-air pop festival, mass audience for art and music, plus celebrity PR, royal endorsement and portion control? All the history of Vauxhall will be laid bare at South Lambeth Library on Wednesday 2 December.

Ross Davies, long-time Vauxhall resident, journalist, historian and author, will be reading from his latest title Vauxhall: A Little History.

Lambeth Libraries, and the Friends of Tate South Lambeth Library, invite you to an evening of historic things on your doorstep.

Thank you for commenting. All comments are moderated so it may be a short while before you see your comment on the blog. I will keep back some comments relating to the current Seyi murder trial until it is over, as it is not appropriate to assume guilt until we have a guilty verdict. I know this is painful to some people who have taken the trouble to comment, but I ask you to be patient.
