Brixton Road nightclub fire

The London Fire Brigade reports that they attended a fire at a nightclub on Brixton Road. Six fire engines and around 30 firefighters dealt with the blaze in the early hours of this morning. A small part of the ground floor of the club was damaged by the fire. Apparently the smoke alarm meant that the fire was found early on and damage was limited. The incident was reported at 5.17am and was under control just over two hours later.
