Sculptor Helen Gougeon is the first subject in Stockwell News's occasional series on artists living in and near Stockwell.
Helen has recently been commissioned by Battersea Dogs Home to create a public sculpture to commemorate their 150th Anniversary in 2010.She has also been commissioned to create a further two public sculptures for London’s Southbank.
Helen was trained classically in Sculpture and Fine Art at Heatherley School of Fine Art, London, Parsons School, New York and London City and Guilds Art School.
Helen has won various prizes. She has exhibited in group exhibitions in London, Birmingham and New York. Her portrait busts and drawings have been commissioned for private collections.
