Cyclist in accident - Dorset Road

I went past the corner of Dorset Road and Clapham Road on the bus to work this morning and saw some of the aftermath of an accident involving a cyclist.

It looked very serious - a mangled bike, another cyclist giving a statement to a police officer, at least three paramedics attending the victim (who looked unconscious), an ambulance, a paramedic motorbike and a paramedic car. I couldn't identify who or what else might have been involved in the accident itself.

  1. What about the Sherlock mystery of the disappearing STOCKWELL BUS SHELTER - from nearby the vet's surgey in South Lambeth Road? As you know it included a bench seat for the elderly.

  2. Sorry off subject but there is a good programme on Channel 4 right now. Cutting Edge Rich Kid, Poor Kid showing the gap between a rich girl who lives on Larkhall Rise and a girl who lives on the Studley Estate. Lots of Stockwell footage

  3. Thanks, Dunc - yes very off subject. But thank you anyway. I have Sky plussed this and will do a post later today. Mr Bathsheba and the Bathsheba Offspring watched, stunned, apparently. One of the Offspring said that that Facebook hate groups were being created before the end of the programme and what's more - she joined one!
Kilroy - likewise very off subject. More info please.
matthew - thank you very much for your kind words

  4. Re the missing bus shelter - I didn't especially intend my tip off with this one to be included here - I meant that it is a mystery and somethinhg that STOCKWELL NEWS might high-light. Yesterday there were lots of folk (including elderly and mothers with youngsters) standing in the jungle juice. That stop has been there for about a decade or so - it's always had a bus shelter so why has it suddenly vamooshed? That bus stop provides more bus options towards Vauxhall etc., than the stops in either the Stockwell or Clapham Roads. I was very surprised to notice its disappearence earlier this week.

  5. Kilroy - sorry, I didn't mean to sound so grouchy (am recovering from the last hurrah at work before we are crunched to bits). Thanks for tip-off. Will look at it in more detail later. I've seen your email now too.
